it's equal. It was suppossed to be Mayweather 2 years ago. with the 2 recent fantastic/exciting wins by Pacquiao, it made him a draw plus good on "value for money" due to his style and story of climbing up from 108lbs and now a welter threat. Then, the Mayweather retirement hurt Floyd's popularity a bit. So now, to me it's equal.
in terms of the draw they are both equal, as far as who gives the fans what they want to see that is easily Manny Pacquiao~
How come Nike hired Pacquiao not Mayweather as its endorser? Adidas is not even interested in hiring Floyd. This indicates that Pac is commercially viable and the bigger draw.
Floyd is the bigger draw. He and DLH combined for the richest fight in boxing history. he did better numbers with hatton. Everybody saying Pac is the bigger draw are dumbasses. Just becasue you like a guy more doesn't mean that he brings more money to the table, and Pacquiao hasn't come close to touching Mayweather in that department.
Has it ever occurred to you that Hatton and Oscar ALWAYS sold out their fights no matter who they were fighting???? Floyd was barely filling out small venues a couple fights before Hatton and Oscar.. HAVE YOU FORGOTTEN?? atsch
Right now there is absolutely NO DOUBT who the draw is in that potential matchup. Floyd kind of fancies himself like a Leonard or DLH was. HE'S NOT!!!!! Gifted, skilled and very talented? .......without a doubt. Charismatic?? Not one bit. Crowd pleasing style? **** no. And he isn't despised enough to make him a draw because of that either. Floyd is smart from a business standpoint...he can make all kinds of money for little risk. If he wants to.
first off it isn't a "fact" as you said it was about oscar and hatton having less pulling power than before..face it man floyd did 775,000 more buys!!! Thats a lot of money!!!! If you say "but the fact is" than you should state facts after that and not ur opinions cuz it hurts ur posts.... You said gatti is just as popular as morales...i agree!! But thats not a fact again... Than you say if floyd fought oscar now it wouldn't draw 1 million...thats also ur opinion again and not a fact....btw i think oscar is still a huge draw...fans like me and you and other posters on esb pay attention to whos big in boxing..ur casual fan doesn't...if mike tyson came back today he would be a ppv attraction because of the casual fan and not the die hard fan like me and you.. So to say oscar isn't a draw anymore is stupid...he is whack and done with and hes a shell of what he used to be but he is well known and people pay to see him fight because of who he is and not how big he is..the "casual fan' doesn't really know much in depth to the behind the fight cuz they dont pay as much attention....if you look at the end of floyd-oscar and when they announce "new wbc champ etc'' alot of oscar fans were out of there seats screaming cuz they didn't even know oscar was the champ and thought he was the winner when floyd was the challenger! Point end up numbers dont lie..floyd is a bigger draw and 775,000 ppv buys in common opponents show it! Ps please dont bring up that economy bull**** cuz thats a joke of an excuse!!
True, but Pacquiao was fighting during recession. Pacquiao would've probably made more if it wasn't for the recession. Not to mention that DLH and Hatton were the real reason why that fight sold well.
