Floyd-Ortiz did a disappointing live ticket sales

    $9M live gate sales is disappointing by Mayweather standards. If you're paying $40M purse per fight to Mayweather, $9M seems a small amount.

    17,000 would put it somewhere in the top 3 highest grossing sales. that would be more than Pac vs DLH.

    Actually there were more tickets sold for Pac Mosley. I wonder if a difference in price factored into that.

    I don't see how 9 million is disappointing. Sure it didn't sell out.. but even with Pac selling out he still generates less...

    um nope sold out doesn't mean 17,000

    sold out could mean 15,000-17,000.

    only mayweather/oscar did 17,000.

    pacquiao/cotto, pacquiao/hatton, and pacquiao/mosley did 8 mill and all those fights sold out.

    Yeah you're right, depending on how they configured the seating. I think for PAC-JMM, they will configure it for 17,000 seats.
