Patterson, overall the much better fighter, but Galento has the one-punch power to TKO Floyd, or to turn the fight into something real dirty and nasty, which Floyd never fought that way.

That hook that knocked Louis down was a beautiful punch. Galento was a highly feared puncher in his time. Very dangerous, tough, rough and dirty. Certainly Floyd was the much more skilled fighter but one single blow from Tony could turn the fight around at any moment. Floyds best punch was his hook but it would be suicide to hook with Galento. This could be an incredibly exciting fight.

I see Patterson having lots of success throughout the fight with his lightning fast combinations. But at some point I see Galento landing one clean hook to put Patterson down. I don't know what would happen after that...

Perhaps it could be a great trilogy.

ps There are plenty of guys who went the distance with Galento without being dropped, including lhvy's.
Eddie Mader for example ,went the distance with Galento twice drawing with him and beating him ,he was conceding33lbs.

Mader was ko'd31 times!

Now Tony's power is being measured with Sonny's??
Styles lead to a fighter's strengths or weaknesses. Floyd had the Achilles Heel, like Holmes. Right hands, not left hooks.
How many left hooks decked Floyd? Not the off-balance c r a p that had him smiling and embarrassed.
You get careless you got nailed by Galento.
