In a fight like this one, I'm going with styles and betting on Floyd, and I'm betting large!

Absolutely Steak but Larry had had a break from the hamster wheel by the time he fought Mercer, McCall and Holyfield.

Phenomenal matchup. I slightly favor Patterson, but wouldn't be shocked if Spinks found a way to pull it out. I think Floyd's combination of speed and snappy power, ability to work the body and head, at times in blazing hard combos, and keep a good pace and get in on guys, would give him the edge.

Spinks via SD in a good, close, competitive fight.

One of the reasons I love this board is that posts, like the one above, encourage me to revisit certain fights. I have so far reviewed Patterson/Ingo I & II on the strength of the overview given.

    Terrific post.

This is in the middle of a period where Floyd gets decked like a dozen times or more in half a dozen fights.

I think the Jinx gets through and puts Patterson down at least twice and the jab doe the rest to give Michael a close but clear UD15, maybe 8-7 in rounds with the knockdowns providing a cushion.

Spinks takes this and I don't think it's particularly close.
