Unusual for Floyd, an actual contender that wouldn't be seen as a massive favorite over him. So.. Could "The Truth" who almost beat Larry Holmes, defeat Patterson? 15 rounds, against Floyd who's just beaten Moore.
Williams style is all wrong for peekaboo fighters. Patterson would slip his jab the same way Tyson did and unleash a flurry of punches (unlike Tyson who laid him out with a massive left hook) Patterson had some of the fastest hands and Williams would lose. Badly.
Patterson had a pretty good left hook which was Truth’s Kryptonite. And Carl while having some power wasn’t the kind of destroyer who could stop Patterson in his tracks. Floyd by decision
If Floyd Patterson could defeat a far more experienced fighter in Archie Moore in 1956, he could surely out box a less experienced Carl The Truth Williams. Patterson struggling early would use his quickness in conquering the taller heavier opposition in front of him.Floyd by TKO 12.
I think the truth could do it working behind his superb jab. Would be an excellent fight between two masters.
