I'm not sure, but in a trilogy, each could win one. If Patterson was around in the early 1930s, he and Schmeling could have been chief rivals of one another. Schmeling had a similar style to Ingo but was overall better, but his right hand, while hard, generally is acknowledged not to be as hard as Ingo's.
I did a thread in this a while ago and I’m still not totally sure who wins. I can see arguments for both. Either way I think it’s a pretty good fight. Two crafty guys who were comparably sized and both making world level.
