Patterson at 182 pounds fights Mr. Ward instead of Archie Moore. Who takes it?

Floyd IMO. Floyd had plenty of skill and Ward does not have the power to bother him.

Unless the ref allows Ward to get away with all sorts of dirty tactics, i can't see Ward bothering Floyd. Floyd has way quicker hands, hits harder etc. Floyd should win comfortably.

I think Ward has a lot of classic people completely deluded as to how great he was. But this might show why Floyd is, p4p, a much greater fighter than he is a heavyweight.

What's Ward's weight on fight night? I don't know it off the top of my head.

A MUCH closer fight than it has any right to be if Ward gets the Kova refjob. Still trust Patterson to outpoint him though.

So they don’t have to make a weight? Patterson would likely win, at 168lbs Ward, 175lbs Patterson was inexperienced, but if he made 175lbs in his prime, that would be interesting.
