    patterson, of course, will go down the greater fighter but this fight could be a stylistic nightmare for him. byrd was an excellent boxer and would be the bigger man in the ring. i think this fight would be very close and i can see byrd possibly edging it.

    Byrd wouldn't be able to do his usual thing against Patterson because he would end up losing his speed advantage. That means he wouldn't be able to effectively dodge the fast punches of Patterson as opposed to the Tuaman or Old Holyfield's.
