What's the excuse for looking foolish against Izon, Wooden, Rahman, Oquendo, Rahman..maybe Tua just sucks at cutting off the ring and finding his money punch, and makes average movers look great.

 

With 70-80 years difference? And switching them between their eras? Probably not.

 

That's exactly what the posters are asking.
Every time they make these matchups you come out with the same complaint ,just accept that not everyone sees it like yourself.

If you don't agree with the format, don't engage its very simple.

You (eras don't matter trowelers) have your own 'complaints'.
Just accept the fact that, if you place fighters into different eras, you have a different way of judging.
Yes I'm sure Klit would have sent Dempsey into the clouds and (as Ali said) the ref couldn't have started counting until Dempsey came down.

Patterson was down more than any other HW Champ, 20 times. Many of those were against Ingo (3 fights) and Liston (2 fights). Tua had awesome power in either hand and was almost impossible to hurt. He had a decent work-rate when he was in shape. Eventually he's going to hit Patterson with a few shots and when he does, it's over.

 

Tua's right wasn't a 'mind blower'.
Floyd was prone to right bombs, not left hooks (and got up).
Although mcvey would disagree D) a 1960 Patterson vs. a 2000 Tua is an attempt to compare eras.
And, based on what I said to mcvey, a 2000 Tua probably TKO's a 1960 Floyd.
So, based on your thread, Tua stops Floyd. "Bingo, ya got me"
Tua, in years to come, will simply be a blip on the radar screen of great HW's. Floyd is HOF.
