Anything can happen but Shavers would go in for the kill knowing Patterson didn't have the best of chins. It likely ends up like the Liston bouts but anything is possible in boxing.....
I could see Patterson getting to Shavers first, especially if he fought like in the second Johansen fight.
Patterson is similar to Norton in that he doesn't match up well with bangers from any era but the truth is that there was a aura of liston at that time, that he was a beast and would break your. Bones. Patterson really bought in to that I believe and believed he was going to lose before the Bell. If ali had had the same aura Patterson wouldn't have lasted a round against him, but he did and lasted in to the twelve. Going in against shavers I don't think he would have feared Ernie to that degree so if he could have dodged the slow shavers boom s he could have cracked him with fast combos , similar to the ingo second fight, and knocked out shavers. A lot of maybe s but it would boil down to Floyd s confidence
