Evander Holyfield who beat Carlos Deleon when he was 190 vs Floyd Patterson who weighed 190 when he won the rematch against Johansson. Both in their twenties. Both with a fair amount of ring experience and both in great shape and comparably sized.

Probably a good fight, I'd go with Holyfield as he proved he had the number of another Cus trained fighter with a similar style.

Good fight. Floyd has the edge in speed but I like Evander's grit and toughness to prevail in an exciting fight.

Paterson did not have the best of chins. I figure it takes awhile for Holyfield to catch him. He beats Paterson by round 9 TKO although Evander may be behind on points at the time of the stoppage.

Holyfield stops him in around 9.
This is no breeze tho for EH.
He'd struggle with his hand speed and Patterson s hooks.
Holyfield would find himself shaken up once or twice, before he finally nails his man and stops him.

You know...i am the greatest Floyd fan + also maybe the only guy who evaluate Evander as an Top 5 HW or lets say "near the Top 5 spot"

-When I think of the HW Evander, I see a warrior who has fought numerous battles...with skill, crafty and tricky. He left all his energy in the ring. He was well experienced, mentally on point, everytime well trained and prepared, very durable, totally focused and knew all the tricks + a hybrid Fighter who could adjust his style.
-When i think of the 190 lbs Evander, i see a talented but unfinished and a rather untested fighter. Kinda like young Cassius. Mostly an outside fighter, some times in and out, using his range, very well on his feet with sharp counter punches, + later in the fight simply outmuscling and outworking his tired opponents.
-And when I connect these images I inevitably think of juice...but that is not the topic here^^

To the point: If you add all the experience, the durability and the strength from the mid 90's Evander to the 190 lbs version of himself, i will highly favor him over Patterson. But i think this is not possible. His bulked up extra pounds would help him to absorb punishment much better, made him more durable overall. Allthough he is signifficantly stronger (even at 190), i think Patterson will be too quick and too explosive to not give him a lot of trouble...both inside and outside. Patterson will be too quick for his counter punch style and also got the ability to punch his way out with his explosive hurricane punch combos when Holy tries to push him. But if Floyd get cought flush i guess Evander would have the strength to send him down multiple times. So in a nutshell this will be a clash of styles and this could go either way. I think this will be a very interesting matchup and a highly competitive fight. A 50/50 to me, maybe 55/45 Holyfield.

Oh boy I like this one! I reckon Patterson would start off fast maybe landing a hook or two but being constantly disturbed by Holyfield's rhythm. Holyfield would by his jab and cross, gathering up points and either win by UD or late TKO.

Much as the fanboy in me wants to pick Patterson, I'd have to go for Vander.

Evander- he wasn’t some tiny guy before he used harsher PEDs he was likely 200lbs and some change on fight night. He was very strong, quick, dirty, skilled and could take Patterson out pretty quickly if he wanted to mix it up.

Patterson needs to box the fight of his life- if they end up in a dog fight he’s getting stopped brutally.

Floyd is a much better boxer and Evander we'll get tired out missing him, Floyd wins by MD.

Could also see Evander being behind on points, hurt at least once and maybe even floored at some point before he eventually figures Patterson's style and speed out and gets the timing right for a late stoppage. Would have been a great fight.
