Choynski was quite the puncher, and looked pretty good in the limited footage we have of him against Jeffries. How does this one play out?

I actually like this fight. It could be a massacre depending on the era and rules applied, but both were small heavyweights (respective of their eras), that had real KO power, skills and vulnerability.

No matter what happened, it would for sure be a fun one to watch while it lasted.

I wish we had more footage of Choynski, he seems like a fascinating guy. Knocked out an atg, taught others, was named as a 'hardest puncher' by many. It's hard to give him the benefit of the doubt in H2H, but he should be viewed as a great in my opinion.

I like Choynski's record but I can't put in a win over Floyd.

Choynski was a terrific banger, especially for his size, but I don't believe he was very durable, nor have I read that he was very fast.So I pick Floyd ,and by ko.

Just an aside but Choynski appeared to keep himself in very good trim/shape going into his later years.

Still, imagine sparring old versions of Corbett and Choy, as Jeffries did, in prep to fight Johnson.

Crazy and apparently Jeff didn’t spar enough rounds at any rate - not that it would’ve made a difference.

I believe Jeff was somewhat in denial at the prospect of having to face Johnson in the first instance - and with good reason.

I also feel that Jeff felt the ominous feedback of the sparring sessions he did engage in - which wouldn’t have done his “confidence” any favours.

If fought on a barge, Joe would make a big splash!
