Patterson couldn't beat Ali & Liston, and nip & tuck with Johannson. Below those guys, he is very competitive. Patterson at 198 lbs & Norton at 215 lbs (Liston & Ali size). If Norton shows up with a mean streak ala Bobick....Norton might stop Patterson early. Otherwise, Floyd might outpoint Norton in a boring fight.
Would a prime Patterson have done much,much better against a young Ali? & possibly won? The Patterson who fought Ali was pretty much done, Wasn't he?
