    Floyd Patterson:
6'0, 71' reach, Orthodox, usually between 188-196 lbs
    Inside Fighter/Boxer.
Best attributes: Sizzling hand speed, good combination puncher, powerful leaping left uppercut, great fundamentals and technique, plenty of experience against multiple styles across 2 decades.
Weakness: lacks in durability and can struggle with range due to his smaller size.

    Oleksander Usyk
6'3, 78' reach, Southpaw, usually between 215-221 lbs.
    Volume Puncher/Mover
Best attributes: high ring IQ, high work rate, strong left straight, good footwork, great flurries.
Weaknesses: Not very good at taking body shots, not very good at dealing with being crowded, sometimes gets pulled into the opponents pace.

12 rounds, how does this go...?

Usyk, he has the skill and size, Patterson can’t outbox him nor can he have his way with him on the inside, someone like Norton would be a competitive fight for Usyk because he can get him on the backfoot and actually have an advantage in certain departments, he’d have his way when he closes off the ring and when the fight’s on the inside.

First few rounds would be competitive as Patterson might give Usyk some trouble with his speed while Usyk southpaw stance would confuse Patterson but eventually Usyk would find a home for his left and at that point he would take over and win by late round stoppage.

Given the pros and cons you have accurately attributed to both fighters
I would expect Usyk to win.
However the result is certainly not a forgone conclusion.Had the cruiserweight division
existed during Patterson's career he would almost certainly have joined Holyfield and Usyk
as one of the 3 cruiserweight ATGS.
It is Usyk's extra poundage that makes me back him, albeit with reservations.

Find a home for his left? What will the address be?

Why do you think Patterson can't outbox Usyk? Patterson had razor thing decisions with skilled technicians like Quarry and Ellis.

Even more bizarre, why do you think Patterson would have no success on the inside against Usyk when he spent the majority of his career fighting at that range using the peak a boo style?

Because Usyk is a much better boxer and longer, Patterson had a lot of issues dealing with Ali who has the same proportions

Patterson was a little bit too limited for Usyk. I think Usyk would mesmerise Patterson with his stance and footwork to a decision win, its one of those fights where you would really see how boxing has evolved over the decades.

Usyk hasn't and won't ever fight anyone near the combination and speed puncher Patterson was, and Patterson still punched hard enough to fold him with body shots

    Usyk cracks that chin.

He's moved beyond this level in head to heads.

    Probably Usyk wins on points.

Usyk seems unable to stop elite fighters. He did not stop Joshua or Fury and Dubois basically quit.

Weight has nothing to do with it. Usyk didn’t stop his two best opponents at CW either. Briedis and Gassiev.

It is because he is a scientific boxer first. But the power is there when he needs it.

When you are talking about Patterson, you are talking about a guy who was knocked down by even Peter Rademacher in his pro debut. Worse chin or any heavyweight champ.
