Patterson doesn't have to get hit with everything. He got hurt by the first punch Liston landed on his chin, a right uppercut. Ingo almost KO'd him in the first round of their third fight. Why can't Povetkin hurt him in the first round?

Unlike Cooper and Ingo, Povetkin doesn't weigh 190 lbs and he doesn't have a glass chin. Who are the most durable heavyweights Floyd KO'd? And how long did it take him?

That's funny. His only respectable KO is over Mac Foster. How do you rate Foster's chin? I wouldn't know since he feasted on washed up contenders his whole career. Stopping china-chinned Shavers doesn't make Quarry as dangerous as Povetkin.

You forgot to mention that Patterson fought a green Quarry and still couldn't beat him decisively. A washed up Machen who had gone 1-4-1 in his previous 6 fights beat Quarry, so did Jimmy Ellis. You wanna argue this guy was as dangerous as prime Povetkin? I don't think he was even as dangerous as current Povetkin lol.

    Huck hit harder than Patterson.

    Agreed.

Floyd could land on his face....
    Or on his back.

What about Povetkin? Where does he land?

He lands a vicious uppercut under Floyd's chin.

I'd pick Povetkin in this. He's got the size, durability and punch selection to make Floyd's life quite hard. 30lb when you throw combinations like Sasha is a big hurdle to overcome. Patterson might make it interesting for a while but I think he'll get ground down and out.

It would be a no contest after Povetkin’s **** test gets processed.

Whyte had only been stopped by Joshua and that was a beatdown. 41 year old Povetkin put his lights out with one punch. That shits on Quarry and Patterson's entire KO resumes. That's a fact.

How does Perez KO look suspicious to you? Perez had a granite chin and Povetkin KO'd him in less than 2 minutes.

Duhaupas literally has one of the best chins in the division. He has never been dropped by anyone and Povetkin knocked him out cold. Povetkin also took that fight on short notice.

Takam is another durable heavyweight and Povetkin knocked him out cold. Joshua fought an even older Takam but he couldn't knock him out. Parker and Perez went the distance against Takam. Chisora is the only other person to put him to sleep and that was 4 years after Povetkin did it.

Price isn't durable, neither was Shavers.

I'm not surprised you were impressed by Foster's padded record. A great KO for Quarry.

Shavers is a certified glass-cannon who got stopped by Ron ****ing Stander.

Quarry didn't even KO Spencer. Spencer was in serious trouble in the last round but he ended the fight on his feet. Spencer had been knocked out by Amos Lincoln and knocked down by heavy-handed Ernie Terrell and Billy Daniels.

    That's a helluva resume.

Povetkin has scored highlight reel KOs over proven heavyweights with solid chins. That can't be said of Quarry. Denying facts doesn't help.

Some of the guys Quarry went the distance against:

185 lbs Willie Earls (4-7-1) in his 34th fight
178 lbs Al Jones (3-4-2) in his 19th fight
188 lbs Joey Orbito (10-1-1) in his 24th fight
188 lbs Dick Gosha (10-10) in his 47th fight
195 lbs Lou Bailey (17-34-5) in his 50th fight

Do you think Povetkin would go the distance against this kind of opposition?

Huck is definitely a bigger puncher than Patterson. The punches Povetkin ate in that fight would've knocked Patterson out for a week. Patterson is getting KO'd in the first round against Povetkin. Huck would get him in 4 rounds.

But we do know that Quarry went the distance against light heavyweight bums. Povetkin didn't.

Shavers was fighting with a broken hand in the Stander fight.

His chin wasnt glass. He went life and death with the 6'5 brawler Roy Williams in an epic slugfest and managed to pull off a last second KO. Cobb hit him with everything but the kitchen sink and he remained on his feet. In 2 attempts orime Holmes couldn't floor him and he was stopped due to bad swelling around his eyes. Ali couldn't floor him. Lyle and Quarry were the only ones to stop him in his prime and they were both very good punchers and vicious. Quarry caught him with a good shot he didn't see coming before he had warmed uo.
