Floyd Patterson vs these opponents.

I think he beats Conn,Godoy,Galento,and Braddock.The other three are problematical and his best chance imo is with Max.Though, in the light of the Ingo trilogy I would expect most to disagree .

 

I'd take Charles and Schmeling over him. Walcott is a 50-50 fight. Conn could be dangerous as well.

The rest are all in favor of Patterson.

 

Not sure if Patterson wins consistently against Charles, Walcott, and Schmeling. He would probably split some wins and losses with them.

Patterson beats the rest (probably taking some trips himself to the canvas along the way).

 

Patterson isn’t beating Charles I don’t think. Walcott is a toss up and very interesting fight. I would imagine some knock downs in that fight. Schmeling would also be interesting but again I’d favor Patterson. Only one who beats him flat out is Charles and Walcott is a toss up. They’re all similar levels

 

Patterson vs Conn would be a good one.

 

Walcott is in some ways like Ingo. Hypnotize the opponent and sneak in a vicious shot. I don't know whether he could jump on Patterson like Ingo did, though. It might end up with a couple knockdowns that don't go anywhere because Walcott stops to admire his workmanship.

I’d put the over/under on how many times Patterson gets knocked down at 10 1/2 if he fought each of these guys once, no matter how many Floyd wins.

 

He wins the first two, the middle 3 are toss ups and I favor him over the last 2.

if he could beat Bonavena he would beat Galento. Would be a fun fight to.
