Floyd outpoints the strong, but somewhat limited Berbick. Speed and ring IQ of Patterson conquers Berbick's advantage in size and strength. Berbick is no Sonny Liston.
Not dangerous but he was a heavyweight - I think Quarry hit harder and Bonavena - Ellis had some pin point power so Floyd survived those guys - he did not have Liston or Ingo type power in fact Berbick had far less IMO Berbick was physically strong but not particularly a hard puncher
Patterson late TKO. He's gonna need a couple more rounds to do the trick then his modern day counterpart in Tyson.
