Awesome fight! A great slugfest. Marciano is an amazing commentator, truly phenomenal. He tells it like it is. Listen to him the entire time, wish we got more years out of him

    What a fight!

Hurricane jackson has an iron chin. He took floyds Sunday punch for 12 rounds and never left his feet. Goes to show you much how harder big nino valdes hit than Floyd. Valdes two round destruction of Jacskon is underrated.

Floyd really can put up a high work rate when he wanted too

Patterson had an injured hand, in the rematch he dropped Jackson multiple times in the opening rounds and sent him to the hospital.

Patterson was hitting him flush before he hurt his hand and it had no effect on Jackson. Pattersons good hand continued to land flush on jackson all night and it didn't even budge him.

Jackson was finished for the rematch

A Boxer and A Gentleman states he broke his finger before the Jackson fight on the heavy bag, it was covered up to keep the Moore title fight on schedule.

The difference between the two fights is two healthy hands.

Funny you say Jackson was finished now, After playing up the Machen win.

Weak argument anyway, Patterson did what Valdes couldn't in 25 rounds against Moore. Same logic.

Two of the Jackson Valdes knockdowns you are hyping were not even that clean, he was hurt but they were balance push downs.

As i recall that "feared, avoided, and massive punching" Clarence Henry couldnt stop or even beat Jackson either...

This was a good entertaining fight with a lot of blows landing but like the Tua v Ibeabuchi fight it was much too frantic for either guy to really set themselves. Sometimes you get two guys who are content to just find enough room to land a punch, any punch, in time before the other man can. A Work rate war. It's not like they are killing each other if you know what you are watching. Guys who can punch just get caught up in it. They kind of know while you are both throwing so many neither one of you will be able to get quite enough steam or room to really do any damage. So they both settle for quantity over quality.

I am going with what my eyes are telling me. Patterson hit Jackson with flush punch after lunch with his good hand...and Jackson didn't even budge

How was he "finished" for the rematch? It occurred one year later, and Jackson won his two fights leading up to the rematch.

    The rematch "finished" Jackson.

Patterson dropped him like four times and destroyed him.

Watch the rematch. He "budged" Jackson to the floor repeatedly just like he "budged" Archie Moore. :good

We are talking about this fight. In this fight he was hit with flush bomb after flush bomb and didn't even leave his feet. Even Marciano began to mock pattersons power in his comments saying if he hit a guy that hard and the guy didn't fall over he would just go home

Suzie has his own personal timelines for peoples primes and when they are finished and somehow it always conveniently suits his agenda.

Just like you have your own bias scorecards that suits your agenda when everyone else who saw the fight live scored it for the other fighter

Why don't you tell us more about willie pastranos chances vs Sonny Liston?

Let's stick to this thread here as I pointed out Patterson landed flash bomb after bomb andJackson didn't leave his feet
