He remains untested up to this point!

    1. Sure, Marquez had an ultra-close debatable fight with Pacquiao. That's a given.

    2. Floyd won handily against Marquez, albeit coming two pounds over the contracted limit. But yes he won almost a shut-out by jabbing and using his long arms being the longer and simply BIGGER guy counter-punching outside.

    3. Now Pacquiao had a close one with Marquez but Pacquiao not only shut-out Oscar Dela Hoya but pummeled Oscar convincingly into retirement which Floyd could not do.

    4. Floyd's close call with Oscar can't make him number one as Pacquiao retired him more decisively.

    5. Now if you still base Floyd as number one because he beat Marquez more convincingly then you have been bias like Kevin Iole and Dan Rafael.

Even if he's been fighting the Zab Judahs, Carlos Baldomirs, Victor Ortiz' and now ROBERT GUERRERO :patsch

He does not take a ****ing risk!!! Will everyone ****ing Wake Up!!!!

I just hope this has nothing to do with Pacquiao being a Phillipino and not an American :smoke

He is physically larger than Pac are you guys blind???!!Let him face Sergio at 154 (like what Pac did to bigger fighters than him!) and if he beats him then I give him the p4p rating. :good

    Mayweather is #1.
Because nobody has TAKEN IT from HIM since 2007.

He never gave Margarito or Cotto a chance :smoke

That's what's frustrating why fans defend him, when he has been clearly untested like Pernel Whitaker :smoke

Now the talk is Robert Guerrero instead of Sergio Martinez? And you still have him number one? :smoke

People gives a lot of weight on his lossless record. Plus the fact that his wins are all dominating. You cannot question his skills. Whether you value skills and head to head matchup versus resume and proven accomplishments makes the difference.

In fact I question his skills. To be called skillful you prove it inside the ring :good

He's been untested up to this point. Period. :smoke

  7. His resume has been deeper than Pac and says zero losses. Fact

    Get over it

P4P in my opinion is based on quality of opponents faced....PBF 0 loss, PAC 8 World Titles, that say's it, get over it.

He beat Victor Ortiz to do it. Victor ****ing Ortiz! Who up until April of this year would have been seen as a joke opponent.

Both times Floyd has been considered P4P#1 he's had it handed to him, when Hopkins lost to Taylor, and now Pac having a tough fight with Marquez.

True Pac was handed it aswell, but atleast he solified himself as the top fighter in the sport winning titles in five divisions after Mayweather retired and beating guys no-one gave him a chance to beat before he moved up. Whereas Floyd retired as #1 bypassing the challenges out there for him at welter.

Pac has also been P4P #1 longer than Floyd, he deserved the benefit. He still hasn't lost and his overrall record in the last few years is still better than Floyds. Atleast the Ring still has him #1.

Ure leaving a lot out. Either way, the majority feel Marquez won and even though PAC beat dlh more convincingly, Floyd still clearly beat Hoya.

It doesn't look good when you make a guy move up to a weight he has never done anything at yet he still beats you in most people's eyes.

It's not like Floyd is on an unstoppable historical run, but he did shut out P4P#2 JMM, comprehensively beat World WW Champ and top5 P4P-er Mosley and knocked out top WW champ Ortiz, compare that with Martinez' and Donaire's run that are not as spectacular, Pac's suspect opponent selection and JMM loss, and Marquez's great win over Pac but loss to Floyd. Hopkins is overlooked but has his own controversy to handle, so it can be no one else but Floyd at this moment. Make Floyd vs. Martinez, and then we'll get a hard earned, undisputed P4P king.
