As a huge Floyd fan since June 2005, I must say... I scour the net and this site of course for news, or maybe the occasional 'strong' rumor that he is coming back, but I'm starting to think... that's it, he's not going to step in the ring again. Now, he's got enough money and side project whereby he doesn't have to obviously, but still.... as a fan I feel like he had a few more fights left.... at least the Pac fight. Oh well.

Boxing continued without him. He can stay retired for all I care.

He's one of the most talked about, posted about, hated on irrelevant fighters I've ever seen.

I read an article earlier on a UK newspaper site that claimed he had told Zab Judah he is pretty much finished as a fighter

He may fight again, he might not. But, like Oscar at the end of his career, he is now a part time fighter and like any part time worker he doesnt deserve the benefits of the guys who are staying active and behaving like champions. If I worked 15 hours a week I wouldnt deserve a bonus or big paycheck unless I did something spectacular at work. The only thing Floyd can do that would be worthy of a big payday is fight Pacquiao. Aside from that, I could give a sh@t what he does.

Unfortunately it doesnt work that way. As long as Floyd can sell ppvs and put asses in seats, he will continue to make $20mil dollar plus paydays. Once he loses his 0, his marketability is out the window. He knows this and is the reason why he is reluctant to face Pac.

Of course it doesnt work that way, but for me it does. I wont pay to see him fight unless its Pac or Martinez. But its not true that his marketability is gone if he loses, ask Oscar. People love to see comebacks and find out what how he reacts to his first loss. If he lost to Pacquiao im sure it would be competitive loses and people would love to see a rematch.
