If he beats Hatton, the only fights out there he has are:
    Cotto
rematch with DLH (for money reasons if DLH agrees?!)
and maybe Mosley (but this is now also a big question mark)

After beating DLH and fight with Hatton..I doubt he'll be able to motivate himself to fight other fights then those mentioned above.
What is going to happen is that he will probably fight Cotto and either DLH or Mosley and then hang'em up... :hi: ... and maybe come back one more time few years down the road when a new meaningful fight appears..

I'm also a big PBF fan and I feel he needs to fight Cotto. After that, maybe a fight with Mosley/Williams and really he doesn't have anything else to prove.

I could see him fighting Cotto. I don't think he'll fight either Margo or Williams. Both are too much for Floyd.

He could do Mosley. Mosley would fit the PBF 'opponent' profile -- 35+ years old, coming off of a loss, etc.

If not Mosley, DLH and/or Cotto, I think Floyd hangs them up. I dont think he'll fight Williams, and I know he won't fight Margarito.

Thanjs for another load of spin!!

Cotto and the Winner of Williams vs Cintron are THE fights.
SSM, Margarito, etc, should square off and try to jump back in line for a defense for WHOMEVER the Champ is at at that point.

Meaningful fights? He is sitting on top of the deepest division in boxing!!! This is the problem with boxing! Why is Floyd / Williams, Floyd / Cintron, Floyd / Margarito not "Meaningful Fights"????

20 years from now people will look back at this division right now. All the prime, and elite fighters in it. Floyd hasn't fought ANY OF THEM! Floyd better not ****ing retire without fighting at least one of the top fighters at WW. That being:
    Williams
    Cotto
    Shane
    Cintron
    Margarito

    Yep, great logic.

Just like how Zab deserved a shot after he lost to Baldo.

BWAHAHAHAHAHA. Floyd is allowed to cherrypick -- that's his right.

But as the old saying goes: "Don't spit in my face and tell me it's raining."

If you're going to cherrypick, don't pretend you're not cherrypicking and compare yourself to a freaking ATG like Ray Robinson. That's horse-bleep.

    The meaningful fights are:

    a) Cotto-Mosley winner = Cotto
    b) Williams-Cintron winner
    c) Pacquiao :yep

De la Hoya already said he won't rematch Floyd.

Their all meaningful fights in terms of legacy. Sure a Cotto fight maybe more meaningful than Shane but having both on resume would look alot better when reviewing his resume 10years from now. Those fighters will make the difference in ranking him either top 30, top 20, top 10 etc.

Also Floyd seems to like the limelight and the money. So as long as boxing keeps him famous and he keeps earning, he'll take the fights.

Boxing is a sport where you can never retire too early. If he doesn't have the desire, then he shouldn't fight anymore. However, if he does have the desire there are still big fights out there for him. Assuming he beats Hatton, and assuming Cotto doesn't sign to fight DLH or Margo, Cotto is definately a big money fight. A fight between he and Pacquiao would be a big fight. The Cintron/Williams winner wouldn't be a super fight, but none the less it's a fight worth considering.

Pac? Are you ****ing kidding me? What are you wanting, an easy W for Mayweather? Sure sounds like it.

A Oscar rematch doesnt make any sense.

Mayweather needs to fight Cotto, Williams/Cintron winner, and Mosley. IF Mosley wants it. He might retire.

    **** Margarito.

Why all the hate for Margarito?
He did well against Williams .. had him hurt as well. Was a close fight with someone alot of you were touting as the next best thing.

    Scoring:

~ referee: Lou Moret | judge: David Mendoza 113-115 | judge: Marty Sammon 113-115 | judge: Tom Miller 112-116 ~

So he fought Williams in a close fight. The same Williams almost everyone was saying is the next best thing since sliced bread and now williams is only a B fighter and **** margarito? ( not sayin u said that Glassy, but a dif poster ).

Someone please explain this logic to me.
