so BM....let me get this straight....pac said hed be willing to take less....yet when floyd calls him up and makes an offer he hangs up and says "50/50 or no deal" you claim that the fight does 200 mil in ppv revenue "at least" ok lets say it does? does floyd keep it? no....bout half goes to the cable providers.....so its 100 mil....so theres 100 mil in ppv revenue.....pac gets 40 mil....arum gets 10-15 mil for pacs services(pac owes none of that 40 mil to arum).....there are other sources of revenue like sponsors and live gate....but there are also cost factors where money has to go out as well..... in theory that 40 mil offer plus paying arum a side fee isnt that horrible......especially since pac said hed take less and fight for free.....yet 40 mil is no good...just like 50/50 wasnt good enough 5 years ago lol
manny, says i fight for charity/ fans/ country but not as a pro boxer!!! i am not materialistic, was one of his quotes, so why fight for pay again please?
A few years ago this would have been a mega-fight to me. Now both fighters are past their primes, and this fight mainly interests me because it will finally silence the fanboys (after 3-4 rematches, of course).
Did he really say that . I could have swear Floyd said he was a smart man and no money was worth his health. He wanted to spend the rest of his life a healthy man with his family, Ali was real dumb for taking dangerous fights and Floyd would never make that mistake. He even called himself a coward if I remember seeing a clip somewhere .
Pacquiao turns down 5050 in 2009 due to refusal to undergo RBT citing the commission tests are enough. 5 years and one coma later, pacquiao is making his opponents take random testing through VADA and will fight Floyd for free
Same old floyd fans getting conned. Obviously hes going to say this on camera. Behind the scenes though, floyd is all like 'no pacman please, give me the easiest fighter available'
