Floyd is amazing, but if he actually gave a **** about Legacy, he would have fought more, and thus be considered even better than he is now, by FAR

unfortunately, considering the fighters he's beat, how good he is, how great he is, and think of how truly GREAT he could have been

He's had 5 fights since KOing Hatton six years ago

Doesn't really matter, he's past the age for any meaningful opponents anyway. Polish off his resume a rematch against Cotto, Berto, Bradley and maybe Pacquaio and call it a career.

Think of a post- Hatton Floyd fighting these guys and he could have polished them all off in 2 years

lets face it floyd fights who he wants when he wants. it is bad for the sport. he'll fight glass jawed khan next, a guy who wobbles in a strong win. then claim it was something special..LMAO.

Slow day for the Matthyse/Pac ******s.

I guess that's normal though. Flame baiting after a Floyd fight. Getting mad all day every day.

I hate Floyd and I do think he is a cherry picker. You will never, EVER, see him try to climb that high mountain and take on someone who would EVER be favored to beat him. That's what separates him from the ATG's ahead of him. He will never take the biggest challenge out there that is a reasonable challenge. No one is telling him to move up to 168 to fight Ward, or 160 to fight GGG. I think 154 is his ceiling, max. 147 is his best weight at this stage of his career.

Make no mistake, he's an ATG himself, but behind the Robinson's and Leronard's of the boxing world. I mean, his last two opponents were a hell of a lot better than some of the trash he's fought in the last 6-7 years (guys like Ortiz (mental midget), Baldomir (had like, 10 losses at the time), Judah (loses often as well) etc). Cotto and Guerrero are tough customers and champs in multiple divisions with few losses between them. If anything, they are a step in the right direction.

Anyway, if he is really fighting in September. He won't be fighting Canelo. That's a fight that needs massive buildup to maximize profits. I say he fights a dude like Alexander, Khan, or maybe Garcia. All decent opponents, but no one earth shattering.

So do you agree that Pacquiao , or fighters outside of Floyd have the right to pick and choose also? Or do you think it's only ok for Floyd to do it?

People just want to see Floyd in good competitive fights i.e. fight the BEST. What's wrong with that? Isn't that what your supposed to do as a professional athlete? Basketball players have to do it. Football players have to do it. Boxing is the only sport where guys get to pick and choose who you go up against. The fact your ok with that just shows your irrational / obsessed fanboy nuthuggery.

And if its ok for Floyd to pick and choose, why is it ok to pick and choose certain opponents but not others? Why is he ok to fight some guys, but he makes a ton of excuses about fighting other guys? Floyd says he's not ducking or dodging anybody, and in the next sentence he says he has the right to pick and choose. So which is it? Stay consistent at least.

I think its simple: It depends on which means more to Floyd, his record, or his legacy.

Oh it this people just want Floyd to fight the best thing? But what about the competition? People ask Floyd to fight people 20-30lbs more than him but they dont ask the same of those guys. Nobody is asking for Sergio or Canelo vs Ward wouldn't people want them to fight the best?

Who is Floyd ducking? He is always fought the best at his natural weight unless there was some extenuating circumstance. He is an atg and he has the crown there is nobody he is ducking
