Floyd will get a lot of heat for taking a catchweight fight. Not sure why he's ruling out Canelo because that would be a nice scalp. Not to mention the kid is Mexican and is a significant draw. Sure, he might be a bit green but you can make the argument that he already has close to 40 wins under his belt which is about double the amount Vargas had when he was thrown in the pit with Trinidad. If FMJ beats Canelo, Floyd's stock will rise if Canelo moves on to dominate 154 which he should. The report in the video doesn't quite sound legit. I'm just gonna assume everything is hearsay until I hear an official announcement. Same goes for Team Pac.
such a genius that he will take a 6 month break from society soon to smarten his brain beyond all normal intelligence and eventually joing the legion of doom and their quest to conquer the universe or he may not be as smart as you thinking if you just look at it like hes going to the slammer soon
@150 it sux, but better than many of the other options but watch the ******* hypocrites go balls to wall in trashing floyd for fighting someone at a weight not best suited for them
You mean like a guy who is constantly trashing a fellow fighter in the media for catchweight fights, and then demands one himself in a division he's already fought at the limit in? Nah, Floyd dug his own grave with the bull**** he spewed about Pac. It's all coming back to bite the ****er in the ass. This catchweight is worse than Pac's because we know Mayweather can handle 154. It's not testing the waters, it's deliberate drainage.
how is it biting him in the ass...everyone knows pac and arum are ducking...floyd still gets paid, and i don't like the cw, but it is in no way worse than pac's weight games over the last 3 years
Martinez was 165 in his last fight so those 15 pounds depend on how he dehydrates himself. Between the two fights Martinez wont have any time to balloon up. BUT. What if the Macklin makes it a though fight ? What if Martinez over trains ? I am not fond of the 150 catch weight. I think it should be 154 because Martinez has back to back fights.
he won't fight macklin...macklin gets some step aside $ and fights sergio after, is what i am assuming...but it's boxing, so who knows
he was so against catchweights that he ignored it and cheated jmm off the scales. this is another media propaganda from the hype master floyd. it's canelo all along for may 5th.
I'd love a Floyd-Martinez fight, but not at 150. It's a lose-lose situation for Floyd. He wins, he gets no credit because Sergio was drained. He loses, well, he loses. 154 minimum, if this fight would take place. And that fight, in my personal opinion, is a more difficult fight for Floyd that Pac.
