Floyd Says he Wants Martinez at 150 If Pac Ducks him

Mayweather was advised that middleweight king Sergio Martinez offered to come down to a catchweight of 150-pounds to fight him. After hearing this news, Floyd said that he would be interested in the potential match. If Sergio Martinez can make 150, we can make the fight, absolutely. There are no excuses. If he can make 150, lets make it happen. I'm a little bit different from the other guys. I think he has a very, very impressive style, Mayweather said. Martinez returns on March 17th at New York's Madison Square Garden, against tough middleweight contender Matthew Macklin.

Mayweather was just replying to what someone told him. He didin't call out Sergio or demand that the fight at 150.

And not only that, what if Martinez were to lose to McKlin? It won't be a credible fight for Floyd since Martinez will be coming off a loss at 160lbs and then going down to 150lbs in such a short period of time will be murderous for Martinez. That ofcourse if Martinez loses.

 

Okay so Mayweather should fight Canelo at 154lbs? Why not Sergio at 154lbs then?

yup Sergio said that number not Mayweather. The problem with Manny is he makes up these wieghts to dictate a fight. Sergio picked that wieght so its all on him. And honestly I dont have a huge problem with the catch wieghts just dont act like you did **** when you win.

 

Like the fight but not at 150.
