I have been in the Philippines many times and my wife is a filipina. Dog IS eaten in the Philippines as well. It might not normal part of daily cuisine, but its certainly not unheard of either. Hell, my wife said that when she was young, she tried dog.

It true that dogs were eaten but that's actually illegal in the Philippines. Even back when there was no law against it only a few of the population eats it. If you ask 100,000 Filipinos if they eat dogs 1 or 0 will say they eat dogs.

I don't eat dogs but IMO dogs is no different from other animals.

In China or Korea (correct if I'm wrong about Korea), eating dogs and cats are part of their culture. It's legal and no one would judge you for eating it.
