"The video that y'all been seeing is false because I've been went to Saudi Arabia. I went there a long time ago," stated future Hall of Famer Floyd Mayweather, who quickly shut down the latest rumors claiming that he was on his way to Saudi Arabia to begin talks for a potential rematch with fellow future Hall of Famer Manny Pacquiao.

Earlier today, a video of Mayweather surfaced on social media where he can be seen telling the camera, "It's an honor to come to Saudi Arabia to sit down with you guys to talk about the Mayweather-Pacquiao rematch." Without doing any research whatsoever on the source of the video, several media outlets assumed it was new and wasted no time in crafting misleading headlines. FightHype.com, however, reached out to Mayweather himself to set the record straight.

"I talked to them about me fighting there, just different fights, but they wanted me to specifically say Manny Pacquiao," stated Mayweather himself, who confirmed the video was shot nearly 9 months ago as a promo in the weeks leading up to a trip he took to Saudi Arabia back in January. "And actually, we didn't just talk about boxing; we talked about different events; us bringing different events out there."

As for the rematch itself, fans shouldn't hold their breath. "Basically, that's an old video. At the end of the day, there's no talks about me and Manny Pacquiao fighting a rematch. Even if we did fight, all they're going to do is have an excuse, just like the first time," explained Mayweather, who seems perfectly content with retirement and the fact that he got the job done right the first time they fought. "The first time, you know, he can raise his hand after the fight is over, then all of a sudden, his shoulder is messed up. Excuse after excuse, you know what I'm saying. A real champion, you know, he takes his wins like a man and he takes his losses like a man. But as far as me and Manny Pacquiao, as of right now, it will never be a rematch," Mayweather reiterated.

I think he looked shaken after the first fight because he had millions on Thurman. Big gambler.

When did he look shaken? I only remember seeing him inside the ring before the opening bell.

If Pacquiao isn't getting that rematch, does he stay with Haymon? I think he only signed a 2 fight deal. He should seek one last spectacle/pay day fight. Lomachenko would be good, maybe even Crawford.

PBF already beat Pac easily the fight didn't warrant a rematch in the first place. He's retired and shot. Let Pac rematch Jeff Horn who's still active and was a much closer fight than PBF-Pac.

Good. Floyd can and should stay retired and Pac should soon be following him before he takes one too many chances.

Floyd's been toying with you fools like a cat with a ball of string. He dangles that rematch to get attention, the one thing he lusts for after sex and money. He saw that deal with Canelo and Pacquiao's defeat of Thurman and he's jealous, he's feeling left out and then this video suddenly resurfaces. Coincidence, I think not. Ever remember going to the zoo and seeing the signs "don't feed the animals"? Well, don't feed Mayweather, a narcissistic ex-champion with a weak ego isn't worth your time.

I'm not sure I buy this. Why the back and forth on social media after Pacquiao beat Thurman? Also, this puts PBC at risk of losing the WBA belt.

I remember a vid of Floyd and Manny together,in Thailand I think?and muggins here fell for it.The so called terms at the time was for Manny to fight Broner, to get to Floyd, within days it was like that video never happened.
Floyd for all his wealth and fame does seem to struggle, with not being the star attraction.

That "fight" should be stricken from the records after IV Gate hit the scene Should have been made a N/C at the very least & thoroughly investigated. Instead Bob Bennett & the NSAC gave the little cheater a retroactive TUE for that massive dose of saline & issued that statement "mr Mayweather did nothing wrong & we will not be investigating"
ROFLMAO" This is comparable to putting The Jesse James gang as Directors of The Wells Fargo Bank
Its " We own the show & theres nothing you can do about it"
