gives him a thorough Marquez-like shutdown, what will be your assessment of Manny Pacquaio's career and as a fighter then?:think

Remember, we are not talking about squeaking a decision in a close, competitive fight, we are talking about a Lacy beatdown here guys.:deal

Will you be surprised? Or you know it can happen?

Will it severely affect your perception of Pac as an ATG?

Will Mayweather finally leapfrogs him there?

Will it cloud the Pacquaio's rampage above 135? Or it will just show that Mayweather is in a class above everyone else, and should be this generation's best?

I know the idea might sound ridiculous, especially with the way Pacman has been dazzling us with those crazy results, but it can happen.

    I won't be surprised.

I know a lot of you guys will magically open your eyes suddenly that pacquiao is a small man fighting in a bigger man's section, so you'll claim Mayweather was supposed to do that.

and another thing that can happen is pac can be on his ass throwing punches for 12 rounds...pac aint a shot gatti, a shot washed up DLH, ticky hatton lasted 10-11 rounds...pac nearly had him gone in one round....mayweather will be in a **** storm of trouble if he mans up and fights...hard to be "this generations best" whith the **** names the last 9 years (or 70%) of his career.....all those memoriable defenses against sosa, brussels, chop chop corley, ndou, sharmba mitchell, carlos baldomir, and judah who earned his shot by getting his ass kicked by the guy mayweather just beat.
someohow he manged to not fight cotto, margarito, paul williams, a YOUNG mosley and he def didnt fight cotto.......he goes to get a 154 pound belt and fights the most washed up dupe on the planet in DLH, when corey spinks, winky, vernon forrest....u know guys in their prime ...path of least resistance...thats gayweather....avoid all dangerous guys...and claim youre the best.... nice try fan boy :good

Floyd will outbox him easily. Thing is, fight will probably never happen.

Losses don't erase wins. I always thought Mayweather would frustrate Pac to a win. It will elevate Mayweather but won't taint Pac, imo. Just like to me, being objective, if Mayweather (although seriously doubt this) got bullied and battered by Mosley and destroyed, it would only elevated Mosley, not knock Mayweather down. Styles make fights and if you fight long enough, you're going to have a very bad night no matter what you're made of. Especially if you fight the best challenges out there.

If PBF thoroughly schools Pacquiao, I might be a tad bit surprised. I always thought he fight would go one of two ways...either Pac would win based on sheer aggression like De La Hoya and Castillo almost did, or Mayweather would give Pac a boxing lesson. I honestly don't see the fight turning out any other way...

...if Pac gets thoroughly schooled, then his ATG status will drop a bit in my eyes, but if PBF wins a close UD, then it won't drop at all.

I don't think Pac gets schooled. If he does lose, as Pac would say, he'll fight til his last ounce of breath. It would be a close decision win for Floyd if Pac loses.

Floyd did not school a 34 year old boxing promoter that didn't use his size advantage and threw sloppy punches.

Note to all: Manny Pacquiao is not a 34 year old boxing promoter. :deal

Manny won't get schooled by a guy who throws 1 punch every 20 seconds and has no power to hurt him. Floyd is not nearly as elusive against southpaws either. People will be surprised when they see this fight.
