One thing I also liked about Mayweather is he has never picked his opponents gloves. I.e. size, brand etc.. I remember Oscar making Mayweather wear Reyes gloves in their fight. I never understood why you would pick their brand. Reyes are notoriously known for being punchers gloves, but I know Mayweather feels his hands are better protected in Grants..
Because Oscar's a puncher? Anyone know how it works with brand new gloves? Like I said, they can be quite stiff when fresh out of the box. I'd want them broken in.
When ? WBC 147 regulates that fighter must use 8oz gloves .. I have never heard of Floyd using 10oz vs Hatton.
Yes but it never occurred to me how odd it must be. I just got a pair of Reyes and they were very stiff. It hurt to close all the way.
I think Floyd prefers Grants because they're the preferred glove of boxers who like to parry, like Hopkins. He said that he's had no hand trouble since Rafael started wrapping his hands. More proof,as if any were needed, that Margarito is innocent.:good
