None of the other title holders are ranked by another org. That is standard (if not counterproductive)

Well first off Hatton was ranked 2 by the WBC before he fought Floyd and since there wasnt a number 1 that was seen as his defence, so Floyd isnt due to defend until dec.

Secondly who gives a fuk about those belts anyways. Its no different then the WBO letting Calzaghe go three years without fighting a guy ranked in its own top three rankings.

Those clowns care about FEES and who can get them more money then Floyd??

So I assume Margarito as IBF champ is no longer 4 at WBC?

The point of the thread isn't to rip on Floyd - Its an attempt to get his ass into gear and fight some 147 pounders in a way that might mean something to him - Take one of those green belts back and get in the ring with a welterweight fer chissakes.

That would be right. He will be dropped from the rankings.

However it is common that a fight that is a champ at lets say 126, to be ranked at 130. And I believe that one of the minor belts actaully rank all the fighters in thier rankings champions and all.

Dont worry he will defend it. Maybe even against Lucky Lewelde or Hatton again. Ha what a pathetic champ

    Right.
I much of a fraud as Mayrunner is, the WBC has the right and has done this before.

The WBO basically has no set rules due to a "presently reigning clause" which means they can break their own rules.

IMHO until one body has full control under a commissioner boxing will always have these problems.

I don't think he should be stripped though. He fought Hatton and Oscar in 1 year. No matter how you put it both of them are not easy fights. It's not his fault Hatton who is a P4 pounder is not in his league.

So did the fight with Hatton not happen? All this "Hatton is not a 147 lb fighter" bull**** aside, he moved up in weight, he was the legit champion at 140.. how is that not a good title? Their fight was for the WBC title, so thats a title defense!
