1) Cotto doesnt have to prove ****. These 2 ******* are so caught up in mayweather and his bull**** belts, they fail to recognize great boxing. This fight is not about belts. It's way more than that. it's about legacy. Mayweather needs to do like Tito, Oscar, and Shane did back in their day. that is fight everyone that has a name.

2) If Cotto is number 1 contender as BIGTIME pointed out, why the **** should he have to fight the number 2 and 3 to get to floyd. What kind of ****ed up logic is that. in what universe does that **** happen. it's very simple, #1 fights #2.

3) Again, please forget the fact taht FLoyd beat baldomir and zab for some bogus belts. Cotto's belt is just as legit as Floyds belt. As this lineal title and ring magazine has gotten completely overrated. WE, THE FANS, know who the real champions are, not some magazine or some people in a room who decide. If you really think in your heart that Baldomir gives floyd some claim to fame, then you are dumbest person on this earth and no nothing about boxing. If you really think that Floyd's victories over baldomir and judah are more importatn than Cotto's over mosley, zab, and quintana, then you are ****ing moron.

If you are true fan, then you want to see the best fights out there. Mayweather is at the top of his game. Cotto has fought his way to the top. It's time for his shot at greatness.

For Floyd to have any shred of credibility he needs to fight Cotto after Hatton; no other fight means anything except that.

While PBF fights Cotto, Margarito can fight a rematch against either Williams or Cintron. After that, winner of Cotto-PBF vs winner of Margo-Williams/Cintron.

No more BS cherrypicking from PBF -- it's put-up or shut-up time.

come on.... he just beat sugar shane, and then zab judah... but you want him to prove himself a bit more? this fight is perfect right now... im sick of seeing deserving fighters having to jump through hoopes to get to mayweather. This fight is perfect 5 months or so after mayweather beats hatton, if he does.

And by the way, what did Floyd do to prove he deserved a shot at the "man" at welterweight? If Cotto hasnt proven himself at welterweight enough to fight the "man", floyd definitely hasnt.
