Floyd should not have to fight a Light Heavyweight!!!

Because we all know what's going to happen. What always happens, disappointment...

 

How is it fair for Canelo to come in weight-drained? If Floyd doesn't want to fight Canelo at 154, he should give up his belt at 154. Simple as that.

The circus aspect of the size difference is a big part of the appeal of this fight. Canelo has size and power. People want to see Mayweather against bigger opponents to see how far this P4P #1 status can carry him. If Canelo comes in physically unable to compete, that defeats the whole purpose.

 

Uh no. People want to see Floyd against credible opponents. I'm a Canelo fan and need this fight in my life.

 

Canelo's size and power is what makes him credible. Other, smaller opponents at 147 are not considered as big a threat to Floyd, whether rightly or wrongly.

 

Why don't these mother******** *****s now only call for proper Olympic style testing but also same day weigh ins and other BS so that they can ensure cherry picking and selective picks of opponents - as opposed to real threats - continues......

 

Floyd can fight whoever he wants but if he wants to run around flapping those big lips of his saying that hes the greatest ever hes going to face criticism from knowledgeable boxing fans.

Margarito out weighed pac by something like 17-20 pounds and look what happened.. The weight doesnt matter when your are an ATG like Mayweather, i don't see Canelo winning.

 

Anyhow who knows what is going on with negotiations, but I will say this. When there was 1 world title Mayweather would not be a champion at 154 right now. If Mayweather wants a title at 154, but he thinks he is too small then he should bulk up.

I can respect FM the business man, he is looking out for his best interest. He is probably p4p the best businessman in boxing history to date. However in boxing terms I would like to see the best fight the best.

Floyd is a punk ass ***** is all. I wish history wasn't so unfair and Castillo gained his rightful win in his fight meeting with Floyd. Maybe then we would've seen Floyd take more risks.

Right but Martinez fought Chavez jr and Oscar De La Hoya or Shane Mosely would have taken this fight. Fans shouldn't be forced to regard Mayweather as p4p number one unless he beats the best at his weight (which he hasn't done in 10 years) simple as that.
