I did in fact see the full fight i watched it on youtube the following day i had Maidana winning 8-4 and he was the aggressor and the guy who was pressing the action in my book deserves more credit then someone who was very passive.

Many people including me favour the guy who presses the action it was a somewhat close fight but it was a clear win for Chino.

i think floyd may be a little bothered how he won the maidana fight.
its not up to his standards and i think he will chase a rematch for his own satisfaction

i think mayweather did earn a decision by a rd or 2.

however though maidana did dish or more pain and was just way more of a man in there.

Have you guys taken the time to LOL at the fact that Mayweather had an even fight with Maidana? A fight where anyone who says Maidana won 115-113 are not being overly ambitious. A fight where a draw seems highly, and probably the most plausible.

Mayweather had an even fight with Maidana :rofl

Mayweather, maybe you should learn a thing or two from Devon Alexander

:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl Majority of the people here have given Maidana at most 5 rounds and that was being generous. Being aggressive but barely landing and getting hit on the way in does not give you points. It just makes you look stupid hence being ineffective.

Maidana was landing especially in the first half of the fight.

Maidana threw 432 more punches than Mayweather over the course of the fight which proves that he was the aggressor in which proved to be a one sided encounter in which maidana dominated.

He could have thrown 1000 punches more it doesn't mean **** if he gets out landed and that's what happened in this fight.

But what about the second half of the fight? If this were a 6 round fight Maidana could have won the fight. But this was a 12 round fight and Floyd took over the second half. Throwing more punches means sh*t if you couldnt land them. In this case, Maidana threw more but he landed less. Mayweather landed more and had a higher connect % making Mayweather the accurate puncher. Judges tend to score the fight on ring generalship, effective aggression, clean punching, and defense. Mayweather displayed those in the second half of the fight. Yes Maidana was aggressive but it was ineffective which resulted in Mayweather landing the punches he wanted resulting in beautiful ring generalship and clean punching. Maidana threw a lot of punches but barely landing which was good defense for Mayweather.

Mayweather was no way in hell the general in the ring the other night.

I said especially in the first half he did land shots in the second half of the fight but not as good as the first half nevertheless I had maidana winning 8-4 yes some round were extremely close but in those rounds I gave them to maidana purely because he was the aggressor and Mayweather was being very passive.

    1. He's not going to retire because he'll breach the contract with Showtime.
    2. He had a bad night. There's not to many champions in history, if any that can say they haven't.
    3. He wasn't even staggered by Chino who has a 80% KO ratio on his record.

These reasons in my opinion are more then enough reasons for him to continue to complete the last three fights. I truly believe the rematch will be much more tactical on Floyd part because now he knows who he's up against. He comes back beat Chino more convincingly, and the retirement tune will change quickly.
