We're about to find out. I've always thought Floyd picks opponents who are declined, inexperienced, perfect style matchups, or just not very good. So no matter how dominant he is, it fails to impress me because I expected it. This MIGHT turn out to be a very tough, even fight. Manny is definitely experienced, he has the style to trouble Floyd, and the only question here is if Manny has really declined r if he's fought down to the level of his recent opponents. If it turns out Manny can bring a great effort, we'll find out how skilled Floyd really is.
I've always said: Mayweather is obviously highly talented but he CAN'T be properly rated because he has taken the path of least resistance. You can't say he has the greatest skills ever because he didn't fight the greatest fighters / versions of those fighters he could have. He has looked phenomenal against the opposition he has chosen though.
untested against credible opponents and employs a lot of dirty tactics in and out of the ring just to ensure a win. he has the tools but is being pulled down by lack of power due to fragile hands so he becomes too defensive. extended fighting career due to exclusive fight venue where they allow him to use drugs on his hands.
real skill and ATG talent is the ability to do amazing things in an unforgettable way under immense pressure. Floyd does that, like him or not. Years of Mayweather Pacquiao threads on this site, all boiling down to one final point. I'll just be glad the thing is done so get past all the Mayweather**********PAC****MayweatherPCMANMayPACmayPACMAN
He is weak. He lost that one fight long ago clearly so his zero is fake. Look at his dancing performance on dancing with the stars. Can't even dance.. all stiff. Now he's all slow and losing reflexes and having trouble against the likes of Madaina? Manny is worlds better than that plodder. Floyd is gonna be shaking in there like a leaf as it comes to an end.
