I think he's the best trainer in the game and Mayweather is a totally different fighter with his dad back. The difference is night and day. Floyd is back to using his defense, his best asset, and stood right in front of a guy who weighed 20+ more than him without getting hit or touched. Back to fighting behind his jab which I always thought he was getting away from. His jab neutralized Canelo all night. I'm being serious when I say I don't think i've seen Floyd much sharper or better than I did last night.
At first I thought it was the wrong move leaving Roger for his dad but I see now that he made the right decision. His dad has him boxing smarter and using defense more the old PBF is back under his dad.
He is the best trainer for Floyd jr thats for sure. He is much better under his father than when he was with Roger. Floyd sr would not allow Mayweather fight like he did against Cotto. Can you imagine if Floyd sr was in his corner in the Cotto fight? He would flip out
Why do people keep saying he didn't get hit. He got hit plenty. In fact he was fighting about as reckless as Ive seen him fight in a long time in some spurts. That being said, he did look fantastic. I attribute it more to it being the second fight in one year hes had in a long time. He was very rusty against ghost.
