    Why not?

Trainers have different ways of getting through to their fighters and communicating with them.

Nazim Richardson uses "swim without getting wet" when referring to strive for a certain level than only his special athletes can attain.

    What's the difference here really?

Why can't they agree that both Sr and Roger are equally valuable to Floyd's successful career? Sr taught him the mechanics and Roger is important to Floyd for keeping him mentally focused. Then again I'd be lying if I told you I don't enjoy listening to them bark at one another, not because I want to see a family fall apart but because the things they say are hysterical.

As usual Sr is chatting ****, roger taught floyd to fight more aggressive which is the real reason Sr says roger ain't taught him ****.

I remember when Sr saw the Floyd V Emmanuel Burton fight, Sr nearly blew a blood vessel seeing little floyd fighting toe to toe and taking punishment. It was clear without Sr floyd became more aggressive in his fights.

So to clarify Sr statement, yes Roger did teach him something, something that could possibly get him knocked out one day.

Doesn't "swim without getting wet" just mean "hit without being hit"?

Floyd Sr is a ****ing moron and a joke, that's not even up for debate, but here he is confirming something that I have always thought anyway - Unca Roger is a yes man, a convenient handpick to be the trainer, a parasite, and basically a glorified spitbucket carrier. Floyd Jr is so gifted that he doesn't actually need a trainer as he formulates his own fight plans, he just chooses to have Unca Roger there as he respects Roger for being a good fighter in his own day, despite the 'Glass Jaw'.

Roger Mayweather obviously provides Mayweather tons of emotional comfort in his fights. His reaction when Roger was taken away during the Judah fight proves this. He's the only one in his camp that Floyd will listen to.

At this level fighters dont need a guy to walk him through the fight. Watch the Cotto vs Pacquiao fight and see how much Pacquiao listens to Roach's advice.

This may indeed be true. Floyd seems to respect Roger in a way he doesn't respect anyone else.

It doesn't really matter if Pac chooses to trade with someone during a fight when Roach tells him not to, I firmly believe that it is Roach who formulates the full fight plan, does all the research, lays out the tactics, identifies the punches to use and at which times, and drills this into Manny during the training camp. I don't believe Manny just comes up with the perfect tactics at the perfect time in fights, that's Roach IMO. If Manny had a "yes man" trainer, he'd still go out and just go wild trying to thresh his opponent to death like he used to do in 2005 and earlier, as he loves to fight rather than box. It is Roach who strategizes and instills the discipline IMHO.

The last time I saw Pacquiao fight with a strategy was Hatton. Where he kept hitting Hatton with the left hook. It was obviously Roach who told him that Hatton would see it and he could land it at will.

Against Cotto, Margarito and Mosley I think he just beat the crap out of them without much need for strat.

Pacquaio doesnt speak good english, and if he had a different demeanor he'd be in the corner telling Roach to shut the **** up "I got this"

How does anybody leap to the unfounded baseless idiotic conclusion the stupid camera operators had anything to do with that situation? Do they not know **** about live event documentary style tapings? Yeah. Who is HBO? Some building in LA? Like the Mayweather's need some sort of pot stirring. GTFOH.. I've heard the dumbest ideas getting tossed around at my gym.
