I think styles make fights and the thing with Manny that I think goes to his favor is that he doesn't fight with one particular style anymore. He went from one dimensional ko artist, to boxer/puncher, and then swarmer. I think styles make fights and IMO a great boxer beats ko artist, but loses to the swarmer, while the swarmer loses to the ko artist, and so forth. Manny can pick anyone of those styles and that's what makes him dangerous. I'm sure Margarito can take acouple of Pacman's bombs for acouple of rounds like he did against Mosley, but it is yet to be seen if he is the pressure fighter with the iron chin because in the Garcia fight he didn't show that. Also Pacquiao is as fast if not faster than Mosley and with much, much more stamina so it might be an onslaught similar to Pacquiao vs. Delahoya. Manny won't be tiring down or be getting hit as much as Cotto did. I think even at 154 Pacquiao will ridicule Margarito. It will be ugly.

Good analysis. To add to that, Pacquiao has speed & power but throws at odd angles. It's the punches you don't see that usually hurt the most so Margarito better watch out for the . . . MANILA ICE!!!! Sorry I had to say it.

Martinez fought him a while back, current Martinez would **** him...Cotto is by no means a speedy boxer, but he was still outboxing Margacheato the majority of the fight.

I feel it the other way round...........This is the only fighter i absolutly dread pac going up against, if it's at 147 & Margo dies to make the weight then maybe, it's nothing to do with skill or ability here i just feel that the moment Pac slows even a tad & Margo unloads onto him we'll be heading for a Cotto scenario........

I'll not base anything on the Mosley fight as Margo was ambushed by GBP in taking that fight late when offered his best payday at $2Million & just could'nt shift the weight in time from all the partying after Cotto but at 154 i'am really worried here for Pac & the only person who'll be pleased about this fight is Floyd Mayweather as Pac is going to get hit regardless of what he unloads onto Margo's chin & Cotto is testimony as to what happens when the effect of Margo's blows do to you in the later stages of a fight............

I know that Pac dominated Cotto after 4 rounds & Cotto dominated Margo for half the fight but i really think Pac will either have to jump Margo from the 1st & see what transpires...But Pac def gets hit & hit hard & it'll be all down to him being able too avoid damage & maintain his speed & momentum in defensive counter attacks whilst not getting slowy smashed up in the proccess IMO.

I've always liked both of them so i'll proberbly fly over for it but it's going to be a brutal affair & neither will emerge unscathed & as i said that suits Mayweather to a tee.

Of course Floyd Sr. would say Margarito would beat Pac easy. That way if Pac destroys Margarito, he can claim steroids. :patsch

    Exactly what caneman said.

Didn't even look for it in the thread, was just gonna say it, but how convenient...

Grease the skids for a steroid accusation.

Most would consider that a thing of beauty and poetic justice.

And vice versa. Floyd ducked both guys.

Just like both guys had the cajones to fight Cotto and Clottey, two more guys Floyd avoided.
