He was handpicking opponents even when he was active.

I am not trying to start an argument, but it's is hard to defend Mayweather's cherry picking ways.

Well actually pre-07 I think Mayweather had actually been a champion in every weight class from 130-147 culminating in him beating the current welterweight linear champ and previous one. To this point the only fighter of any recognition at 147 willing to fight was Margarito. Since that point he's only fought twice and one of those fights was at 154.

I would also like to see Mayweather take on Mosely, Cotto and Williams but to say he cherry picked based of a one year period where he only fought twice is quite annoying and once at welterweight.

Sorry to have to correct you but sometimes people tend to not actually say things based off facts but popular opinion.

For example I saw a comment which stated as fact David Haye was knocked out (sorry, KTFO) by Carl Thompson - popular misconception. The fight was actually stopped by the ref after Haye had punched himself out and was receiving too many unanswered shots.

In response to the question, Floyd beats JMM and edges Mosely in a decision after a classic encounter of two top boxers.

Its true though, through out Floyds career Sr has been disrespecting him, angry at him for making money and not getting any, he was angry at Ellerbe and Roger a while ago for making money from Floyd, now all of a sudden he 'loves' Floyd?

98-02 SSM maybe, but not this version that got outboxxed by Cotto, PBF wide UD over old-man Mosley, though I'd slightly favor a peak Mosley.

You could argue that every top fighter handpicks opponents. However, Floyd has been taking on top fighters for years.

Marquez shouldn't be viewed as a tune-up and Shane is going to beat Floyd if they ever fight.
