Oscar told Victor Oritz camp that Floyd Sr might be the best man for the job so Victor will meet with Sr soon to have a light workout and see how they mesh.
A trainer who would improve a defensive capability of a fighter is always good. It's always better for Ortiz to be aggressive, but he should know when to keep his chin tucked in before it gets broken again. That's where Floyd comes in.
That'll be an interesting match-up. Senior can't tolerate weak-minded fighters, can he? I hope he can show Ortiz some leeway, because no doubt Ortiz will be better for it by having a proper trainer guiding him.
to be honest, i think victor is beyond repair at this point (mentally). he can definitely put on exciting and entertaining fights, but he'll never get another shot at the elite level. i mean - josesito ****ing lopez clobbered him
ortiz has defense issues, something roach knows nothing about. ortiz's future is likely somewhat short as is; pairing him with roach would shorten it even more IMHO
This might work as Ortiz may need that strict figure in his life. Also Vic has this desire to please. Hopefully Snr plays his cards right.
Nope, Chavez Jr. and Amir Khan suck. It's not Roach's problem these guys want to please the crowd by opening up to entertain/impress no-hoping lifeless losers on twitter.
