he is trying to save some legacy in floyd. the more he boxes for money, the more he lessens his legacy. he saw him fight scared against the midget. he is just winning be scoring points like the amateurs because the judges allow him.

Oh yeah he has slipped a little from what he once was but by no means just getting by on smarts.

 

It's almost as if Sr. doesn't feel like Floyd gives him enough money and so the anger from it leads him to say some of these things. Either that or he honestly feels like he's disrespecting the name.

 

Like pac,castillo,dlh,hatton,corrales, cotto etc..? All scrubs right?

 

WW division is the worst in all of boxing , they all circle eachother waiting of the payday , you wouldve figured that Khan/Thurman/Brook/Maidana/Bradely wouldve fight eachother already to prove who is really the top WW , maybe then it wouldve been easier to push for a Floyd fight -> "Hey i beat ALL the top WW , its just you and me boy" , instead they ALL fight bum after bum , disgusting actually .....
even worse then Floyd behavior with the Berto fight (which is bad), he at lesat has done his share of top class oposition ....

You talk about young WW , young lions , its all BS , if they are so hungry to prove themselves why no Thurman vs Brook next ? unification , glory , money , they are all bussiness man now .... disgusting.

 

Only one of those fights could be considered recent, and he was way past best himself.

Floyd's legacy will be $$$. His moniker, his biggest accomplisment, his persona is Money.

Floyd will probably always feel a void in his life. His career is just about over and he failed at what he wanted the most, which was the respect of the fans.

Mayweather is on record crying his eyes out because he felt he wasn't appreciated. Mayweather is the type of person who needs validation to feel good about himself, essentially he is a beta who surrounds himself around weaker betas like Ellerbe. Haymon is the Pack leader and Floyd is nothing without him.

Since Floyd is a beta who always seeks validation he will likely regret not taking the risks in life when his legacy and fights sit dusty in a shelf while fights from fighters like Chavez, Duran, Leonard, Hearns, Morales, Tyson, will always be watched over and over.

Money isn't everything, it only measures marketability... there's really only so much you need. Floyd will always seek the validation from the fans.
