Floyd Sr. on Golovkin: ‘He’s Not a Good Fighter'

Exactly. He's not going to make it sound like someone is better than his son. I wouldn't if my son was boxing, but I wouldn't talk down on others either.

 

Not at all...... For a fighter who applies the kind of steady pressure GGG does, he doesn't get hit all that often. He eats shots that a defensive guy like Floyd wouldn't eat, but Golovkin believes in his power so he takes risks that guys like Floyd won't take which places him in situations where he is susceptible to getting hit. In boxing, you're supposed to get hit.....it's part of the game and the nature of the sport. It's a rough business and you are expected as a prize fighter to take chances in order to not just win.....but win emphatically, or leave it all in the ring in an attempt to win impressively.

 

What could be worse than Golovkin accepting to come down in weight to the weight that Floyd is a champion at?

Oh I know maybe Ward willing to go to 160 as long as Mayweather moves up to fight him
