    Probably one of the most sensible statements I've heard him make. Pretty Boy was definately a different animal compared to Money, but like Sr. stated, you can't hold on to those boxing gifts forever. Mayweather has managed to maintain enough of his boxing gifts to keep him on top. People who knock him for a the fighter he is today, couldn't possibly know him as the fighter he was yesterday.

    Rubbish.

    I've followed Floyd since the 90's and ever since he got that fight with Oscar he has been COMPLETELY 'safety first' as a fighter, and his style is already negative anyway. Now it's negative x100.

    "Oh but his hands are ruined" - Why Box then?

    In other words when floyd loses to manny the *****s will go on and on about how manny beat a declining floyd and there is no way he beats pretty boy version of floyd. nice set up for the excuses.

    Because as you have seen he can still easily win with bad hands, you would do the same, don't make out you wouldn't

    It's not about that, though, is it? His style is negative ANYWAY. Add to that the fact that he's getting paid millions make it even worse.

    Hell, look at Oscar and Tyson - got paid MILLIONS per fight but went out there and let it all hang out.

    Yea ok, I'm not trying to convince anyone but I've followed Mayweathers career since the 90's as well and he was a very exciting fighter to watch, especially in the 90's and early 2000's. What the hell is a negative style?

    One where you rely on your defence to the point that you don't use it to be offensive and your punch-output is minimal, which in turn leads to no risk being taken, which in turn leads to decision after decision.

    @Brixton Bomber

    Descision after decision or win after win, sounds positive too me. Can Mayweather be to defensive at times sure, but this farce that people seem to believe that's all he does is ridiculous, you still have to land to win, never seen a fighter win a match in a defensive posture the whole fight. In terms of taking risks, whenever you step through the ropes its a risks. I get that a lot of people are turned off to his style, but PBF was a more exciting fighter than MONEY and people who really followed Mayweather's career know this.
