I now believe Floyd Sr is either crazy, or is a now *******. He keeps on saying Lil Floyd will easily tear apart the overly hyped Pacquiao but at the same time why does heap praises on him that he now says "the latest version of Pacquiao can win a Heavyweight title"? This baffles me. :think

We in esb all know Floyd will easily defeat the over-hyped pacquiao. Floyd can even run circles around today's heavyweights and easily score a decision. I just don't get why Floyd Sr. talks as if he is so afraid of Pacquiao. Sometimes the comments of Floyd Sr. makes me think it's entirely his fault why his son in one way or the other doubting himself. If Floyd Sr is trying to build this up then he is doing it in a wrong way at the expense of the most talented boxer in our era, i.e his son. I say, **** Floyd Sr.

Floyd Sr. Seemed to be talking out of both sides of his mouth. I couldn't tell if he was actually praising Pac or degrading him. He seemed to be doing both. He seemed amazed at Pac's performance but then appeared to attribute it all to drugs. He actually seemed more confused and confusing than ever but was clearly in awe of Pac-man.

he's saying it sarcastically, to illustrate how far he thinks pac can go with the use of performance enhancing drugs. he said the same thing on the most recent episode of on the ropes boxing radio.

His sarcasm was obvious. However, so was his praise (IMO).

I thought it was great interview I dont know if many people missed where mayweather snr was coming from or people are just purposely putting a spin on things?

we all know he wanted to say it but couldnt be assed with the trouble it would bring that pac is on somthing, so he just joined in with what everyone else is saying (from a sarcastic point of view of course) and praised pac

"that man is second to none, the greatest of all time! the king of the ring ! the.... man is a whole load of bulllll sss****"

"IF" pac is on something and truly cant be hurt then why would he as a father want to see his son in a ring with someone that letha,l but in his mind he knows his son would defeat a clean pac

big question they are asking themselves though is what if he is clean ? and this is just the reality the guys a wrecking machine with pure heart

Explain to me how Floyd can run circles around today's heavyweights when the boxing ring is square. Shouldn't Floyd be running squares? :huh

I guess he's tired of the embarassment that his son is bringing. If my son was being challenge and he's ducking left & right, I will be embarassed too!!

no. how is it praise when floyd joy believes all of pac's recent success has come as a result of steroids? it isn't praise at all, it's patronization.

Perhaps. It's hard to know for sure as F.M. Sr.'s 'english' is rather hard to understand. I didn't listen, I read the transcript and to me he seemed to be in at least partial awe of Pac's skills....the sarcasm was clear but I think there was a measure of truth in it.

I think in his heart he truly believes that Pacquiao is a great fighter and respects him. Hes just protecting his relationship with his son by echoing his nonsense. Plus, I dont think he wants his son to fight a guy who rearranges his opponents faces like Manny. The steroids thing is just a way to keep him out of the ring. I wouldnt want my son fighting Manny if I truly believed he could badly hurt him. I think Floyd was nervous about the Mosley fight too.

I thought FMS was being sarcastic, or tongue in cheek when commenting on Pacquiao after the Margarito fight, but honestly - and I'm not even trying to be funny here - I don't think he is intelligent enough for that. I think he is amazed by Pac, and has serious reservations about seeing his son step into the ring with him.
