Faster, better defense, and more experience don't see why that outcome is so crazy

There's also a video of Floyd out there, saying he wound't let Canelo anywhere near Golovkin. He also advised Ward not to take the Kovalev fight and just recently, on his UK tour, Floyd said that Brook should not have accepted to take on Spence, but he should've taken on an easier opponent.

But Canelo KO'ing GGG it is a possibility, why not ??

Canelo wasn't green at that juncture. He was considered the 2nd best JMW in the world and was widely recognized as a top 10 P4P fighter by all media outlets.

He weighed 153 lbs for his weigh in for Trout and was never above 153 lbs for any weigh in before that match. He mentioned about a year and a half before that fight that he was targeting Floyd Mayweather for a superfight- this was right after he beat I believe Kermit Cintron down in Mexico. He said he'd gladly meet him at 150 lbs to secure that match. FLoyd could've held him to that statement, but agreed at 152 lbs.

I'm not a fan of CW's in general, but I don't think Canelo at any weight was going to beat that version of Mayweather. He was incredible from a defensive standpoint that evening. It was arguably one of the greatest defensive performances in a world class level title fight in the history of the sport.

 

David Haye thinks that Valuev is a top 5 ATG HW. He thinks Ruiz is top 15.

 

My opinion on Mayweather's issue with GGG is this. Mayweather was regarded as the best P4P. Let's be realistic as great and talented as Floyd is, no one is picking him against Wlad or Fury etc...There are reason's for weight classes. GGG represents the lowest weighted opponent that beats Floyd. Let's not debate who beats who here but Vegas would have listed GGG as a betting favorite if Floyd challenged his belt. Floyd is favored at 147 and 154 and can beat some at 160 however GGG is that person who when asked at what point does Floyd lose to a heavier opponent the talks begins at GGG. If Floyd thought GGG was easy as he says he would have fought him and everyone would say Floyd was a boxing god if he won. I don't disrespect Floyd not fighting GGG as I said there are weight classes for an reason. However the reason above is why Floyd disses on GGG because he is trying to convince everyone he can beat anyone.

Lol Ggg got pieced up and embarrased by kell brook who has done literally nothin at welterweight besides jab and grab his way to a close decision win over a 1 dimensional porter.

The only other technical fighter he beat was the pillow fisted, inexperienced quitter willie monroe jr.

Its laughable to suggest ggg would definitely beat mayweather, that it "isnt even a debate" and even more hilarious to suggest the bettin odds would be in his favor. Sure he has a punchers chance and is big and strong but so was canelo. And canelo is much younger, has better combinations, faster hands, better uppercut, better resume.
