The 14 day window was only offered after negotiations with the mediator was over. The 24 window was presented and Floyd declined. That's when PAC backed shop up and moved on b/c to him it was clear Floyd wasn't going to make the fight happen and would continue to move the needle.

Good luck getting french cops to go bust the french ministry of sport, their french labs, the french magazine l'equippe, and wada.

Are you for real? Seriously, google wada 2005 armstrong. Seriously?

This is a clear example of the system going wrong and you want to play this game of blame everything else?

So basically, you are saying that Pac and Mayweather are on the same boat, with the likes of Joan Guzman on board?

There are hundreds of fighters who can not make weight because they already outgrew their division and Pac was one of them. He did not make weight at 112, had to shed that extra weight in two hours and ended up fighting so dehydrated that he barely threw a punch, then got KOed by a body punch.

The next time he fought, he bypassed 118 and went straight to 122. That is bypassing the 115 and 118. Not to sound too obvious, I am sure that there is a reason why he had to make that jump.

Mayweather on the other hand asked a lightweight to go up 2 divisions higher at an agreed catchweight of 144, had to change the contract to insert a clause that the fight would have a limit of 147 the night before the weigh-in with penalty clauses included above 144.

Instead of 144 being the limit, the modified contract allowed Mayweather to come in at 147 and just pay JMM 300,000 dollars above 144. And this is against a fighter he already asked to go 2 divisions higher.

By changing the contract, it allowed Mayweather do 3 things :

    1. He does not have to shed any extra pound within 2 hours after weigh-in.

    2. JMM can not back out of the fight as the limit was raised to 147. As long as Floyd is under 147, all he has to do is PAY JMM FOR EXTRA POUNDS.

    3. Mayweather does not have to pay the NSAC penalties which is equivalent to 10 percent of his purse (fo that 2 pounds) or around at least 1 million dollars (based on the lowest purse amount of 10 million dollars in some papers)

You are right, Pac and Mayweather are the same. If that is what lulls you to sleep.

    This content is protected
. They perfectly compliment each other stylewise and they both do not want to shed weight or make the effort to make weight(not mine but EZE's argument).

:good My point is with a fight of this magnitude the reason the fight is not made should never and i do mean never should be about drug testing!!!! No matter how you feel about Floyd Mayweather and whether or not he is doing it to clean up boxing. This is not a valid reason for the biggest fight of the last 20 years should not be made.

Seriously, it's just 2lbs pejavan, what difference would it of made?

The same 2lbs you said would have no effect on Cotto.

  7. Which begs the question - why would a boxer try to introduce unprecedented, unnecessary drug testing as a contractual issue for a fight of this magnitude?

I am no expert on French law, but living in a Western country i assume cops do what they are told to do by the judicial system. In this case that was?

So now the WADA controls the French police AND judicial system? Manny even said that Mayweather controlled the USADA.

You are a fool. Put on your tin foil hat and go back into your Y2K bunker.

To protect himself and his life's work? You miss the point. He introduced this from THE BEGINNING and it was A REASONABLE REQUEST.

  10. So he's requested every fight since he turned pro? :-(

A fighter who cares about his life after boxing. With the recent beating Cotto took from Margarito and Pacquiao red flags was raised about cheating. Those beat downs will have a life long effect on Cotto.:good

No he was happy to be boxing back then and hoping to make a succesful career out of it. He has had a successful career out of it and now cares about his well being and life after boxing. How hard is that to understand bro. You may not like him as a person but dont let that cloud your common sense bro.

  13. #1 I'm not your bro.

#2 Common sense says - Floyd is afraid of what could happen if he fights Manny Pacquiao.

And you keep missing the point.

If a man didn't worry about pay and benefits when he was 18 and living at home, but did worry about it when he was 30 and had a family would he be wrong or quite reasonable?

The question isn't the past. The question is if the request was REASONABLE. it was.
