I enjoyed watching DLH beat Vargas's ass who was roided up.....Roids and PED's didn't help fernando beat a superior fighter in DLH...

So if Floyd is so superior he won't have a problem beating Manny....right? I do agree that the sport needs to be clean! ANd I'd rather watch two guys fight on a level playing field and I think that for the most part they do in boxing.....this isn't MMA or WWE. It's boxing where they have good measures in place to ensure that the sport is clean....

If a fighter is gonna fight dirty....best believe he'll find a way to fight dirty and there are NO TEST out there...including the USADA's testing that will 100% prove that a fighter or athlete is clean.

So what Floyd has done was begin a great movement by accident....I truly believe that. So some good has come out of the irresponsible actions he took to tarnish the image of a fighter he was concerned about facing.

It's a damn shame all the jealously that runs rampant on this forum.:-( This man has dedicated his life to the sport. You don't train as hard is he does if it's all about the money. Furthermore, if it were all about the money, he would've fought Pacquiao regardless; PEDs or no PEDs. I thought you were a fan of the sport Charlie. It seems like you're more of a fan of tearing down an upstanding young man who's taking his position as the face of boxing seriously.

He never spread any accusations. He simply asked Pacquiao to submit to random blood testing. Pac agreed at first and then gave childlike excuses for not wanting to do so anymore. Why is it so wrong for an elite athlete, who is the face of his sport, to want to ensure that other elite athletes in the sport are following the rules? Imagine if someone like Ryan Howard or Chase Utley were chastised by baseball fans for wanting to instill a tougher drug testing program in the sport. I am appalled that so many so called "fans" are in favor of allowing fighters to cheat. It's sickening.:verysad

MLB has a commission in place for the betterment and protection of their athletes...as does boxing. If the commission in boxing started the movement it would be understandable...that's their job.

But it was Floyd who is trying to all the sudden act in a completely different manner regarding boxing...who he is as a boxer...or in his words..he's an entertainer.....this boxer/entertainer who has never cared about cleaning up the sport all the sudden finds the need to do so right before the biggest and most challengeing fight of his career? You don't find that a little suspect brah?

Good point Nall!:good Of course that would have been terrible and that's why I understand why this movement is a good thing. All I'm saying is FLOYD didn't start this movement b/c he really and honestly wanted to help boxing and boxers. He ran with what he created and it so happened to work out well for him.

I agree that things should be fair ESPECIALLY in this sport with how dangerous it is. I'm just not buying Floyd's BS about him doing this b/c he wanted to somehow "give back" to boxing.:-(

I find it suspect when someone so predictable all the sudden acts completely out of the norm like Floyd did. PAC has always had the stance he doesn't like giving blood LOOOOOON before Floyd. And Floyd knew that about PAC from jump.....Everyone already knew Manny as being very supersticious and very much a fighter who didn't like to take ANY kinds of medications or pills, yet Floyd fans somehow dismiss all of that b/c of Floyds actions.

Manny's not scared to take tests bro...he's just not willing to give Floyd the power in this situation, which Floyd was trying to get

There is such a thing of having a phobia of having blood taken. I myself suffer from it, yet I have no problem taking needles. They are both 2 entirely different things.

When I have to have blood drawn, I become light-headed, nausous, come down with sweats, and practically almost faint. There's just something about having blood drawn from a vein that really effects me psycologically. When it comes to taking a vaccination shot though, althoug it hurts more, I have no problem with taking one.

:lol:Floyd skipped bro! He's the one who asked for unprecedented demands for the first time....NOT MANNY!:rofl Sad is absolutely correct! You are letting your love for Floyd blind you from what is evident....You got your head in the sand!

How did it NOT work out for Floyd? He was able to get out of the fight and save face by not having to say he didn't want to risk facing a guy that could cause his undefeated record to be no more.....and spin his method of demanding blood testing for Manny as a way to make him look as if he cared about boxing all of the sudden...WHEN THAT WAS NEVER in his DNA in the past.

MLB has 1 commision in place for the whole league. Boxing has a different commision in each state. Thats a problem in itself. Boxers put things in their contracts for each fight that the commision has no say so over. Floyd is making sure the guys he fights from now on is clean and hope others will follow when drawing up their contracts. If the commision is not ready to implement better testing then he has to take it upon himself to protect himself. I find it suspect that a person needs a 24 day window for drug testing in a boxing match. We all know who looks suspsect but some of us chose to find and make excuses for something thats inexcuseable.

You're absolutely right! That is a HUGE differnec between boxing and most other sports. The problem is NOT taking the test with enough time for Manny to feel as if he's not going to be hindered by the blood withdraw, but who is demanding the tests and how they are administered. Manny in the begining AGREED to the test but wanted 3 seperate testes.....1 at the promo kick off....two weeks before and immedately after the fight...Floyd didn't want that...he wanted random testing up to the fight...then we got all the bantering back and forth. I agree that someone looks suspect and most agree that it's FLoyd...not Manny.
