You really think a starter pro boxer can promote themselves? FMJ is so lucky that he is already popular when he decided to cut the rope from the big promoters. No other boxer at the moment can be a boss of their own.

Drug testing will always be the same until the boxing commissions around the world will change it, until then drug testing will be defined on the contract. Its not mayweather who will change the regulation, its the commission.

You dont believe Pacquiao can be his own boss? And of course not guys just coming up. But these big names fighters should not ever have to answer a question"Depends on my promoter"

more and more fights are moving to blood testing. I'm not saying Mayweather has the power to change the regulation, when fighters are steadily getting caught like Peterson, more big time fights will have blood testing, I could care less if its regulation or not, as long as its happening and we are sure both fighters are clean, when you look back at who started this movement,Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Pacquiao as it stands now cannot be a boss of himself, he need someone to manage his **** in the U.S., he has other obligations in the philippines, government, movies, singing careers and his family. I doubt if you put his shoes on your foot you'll do the same.

Drug testing has been in the sport since day one, mayweather stuff is just a tactic for marketing purposes.

The fact is no human is perfect, Floyd Mayweather certainly isn't but he is a great boxer and dedicated to his craft, you have never seen him complain about his socks, leg cramps or that he took his opponent lightly.

Floyd has done more to get this fight made without a fraction of the roadblocks and excuses made from the other side. The onus isn't on him.

Have you been tweeking again??? Why should I be mad I didn't pay or watch the fight live? The fight went exactly as it "was scripted".... er oops supposed to go; EXCEPT the defensive MAD GENIUS wasn't supposed to get a busted nose and swollen lip... LOL!!! So much for a great defensive performance... And if his performance was supposed to be characterized as an OFFENSIVE GEM. How disappointing that he didn't take a lesser fighter out???

Despite that the smaller Marquez was left standing, at the very least with a BLOATED, feet in the MUD Marquez, Money's DEFENSIVE performance was spectacular. ROFLMAO...

LIke I've said before I'm not surprised you're easily amused... You're one of his "true fans" after all... :yep:hey:good

Never thought of him as trying to be a cultural icon. But, I don't see any active fighters with that level of mastery of boxing, or who are maximizing their talent (to gain celebrity and wealth) to such a degree.

Cultural icons are generally huge standouts. Wild and controversial, pioneers, that type of stuff. Whether they (Floyd and Pac) have what it takes to make it to the echelon of Ali, Louis (and Tyson) only time will tell.

Also, the big hitters tend to be heavyweights, as P4P is only a watered down consolation in the hurt sport
