I'm split 50/50. When it comes to the Business part of boxing, sometimes I think he's a genuess. The other time I think he is an idiot.
I will be surprised if he manages to retain his wealth. I think he has made bad deals and mismanaged his money and I think it will continue to happen.
If he was a good businessman - He would have paid his taxes on 40 million dollars. To not do so is the mark of someone who is excellent at MAKING money, and equally skilled at loosing it.
I highly doubt it! Aside from his IRS woes, he has other documented financial troubles as well. Here is just one of the many articles : "Another company has filed a lawsuit against Floyd Mayweather Jr. This time for This content is protected . Last Wednesday, This content is protected According to the Las Vegas Sun, Mayweather borrowed $415,695 in April 2007 to finance the purchase for $512,184 of a Mercedes Maybach 57S from dealer Fletcher Jones Imports in Las Vegas. The contract with Fletcher Jones called for an interest rate of 16% and 72 monthly payments of $9,077. Mayweather's last payment was made in February of 2008. The subject vehicle was repossessed by the bank in January 2009. The bank sold the car for $196,000, leaving a balance of $167,192 on the contract. The bank is also looking to recover their costs for legal expenses. The newest lawsuit adds fuel to the heavy speculation that Mayweather returned to the ring to re-build his bank account after being inactive since December 2007. A few months ago it was revealed that Mayweather owes $6.1 million in back tax to the IRS. " When someone flaunts his money like that, it tends to disappear as fast as you can read this.
Even though I am not Floyds biggest fan on here, I do hope that he's financially set for life, and I have to believe he is, with all the money he's generating. But then again, the likes of Tyson and Holyfield made a tonload more and they're broke.
Floyd is a douchebag who also happens to have incredible boxing skills. It's a shame because the douche in him has undermined potentially interesting fights , while he stuffs money in his pants and says one stupid thing after another. Now De La Hoya, THATS a businessman. Not nearly the fighter Floyd is , but at least a guy with some brains.
Yep. bunch of idiots arguing over who's the better boxer because they sell more PPV's, or make more money, or are "master businessmen". Talking about who wears better jackets, or has invented a better character. Makes me ****ing cringe at times.
Is that really a stretch? Quoting Trick Daddy and being born in 1970? I grew up with hip hop and love it today. I quoted Trick Daddy because I thought it was pretty profound...you can learn from anybody!
Mother****er can't even pay his gas bills that's why it got cut off. Sheesh. No hot shower for Money Mayweather. LOL
Words of wisdom from Bernard Hopkins. angel:angel "It's not how much you make, it's how much you keep."
If that's what you like maybe you're better off reading WSJ Floyd's broke anyways, doesn't he owe the IRS tons of tax money Doesn't sound like a "master businessman" to me
Ha ha ha You can count with the fingers in your hands these idiots They just post nonstop, creating the illusion of numbers.
