Floyd to fight a tune-up before fighting Pacquiao says Uncle Jeff.

The bout will take place in England. I see Mayweather vs Pacquiao happening in June.

 

Well it would be best for Floyd to fight a southpaw, someone good, but not too risky. Floyd has obviously been inactive too long, he needs to get sound rounds in to shake off ring-rust and get back to form.

 

Said Ouali or Luiz Collazo would be a good tune-up before Pacquiao.

 

Mayweather showed obvious ring rust when he fought Marquez. His speed has decreased and so has his reflexes because of being inactive too long. Mayweather wants to be at 100% when he fights Pacquiao.

 

Yeah JMM would be the only tune-up Mayweather needs if he fights Pacquiao in March. Pacquiao has publicly said he will fight in either May or June or even a later date to get some rest. Lets say the fight happens in June, Mayweather will be 9 months inactive, that won't help Mayweather at all.

Said Quali would be the PERFECT opponent to prepare for Pacquiao.

 

I also like to point out that Said Quali also trains with Roger Mayweather.

 

Very easy for Mayweather to beat an opponent who's a natural junior lightweight. Mayweather is bigger than Marquez, faster, hits harder, and is the more versatile.

Also Pacquiao will be taking a break from boxing (like 7 to 8 months) before getting in the ring with Mayweather.
