Floyd to Vacate 147 WBC Title

Well, Hatton kinda have.

Another clinic idiot. He was an undisputed champion in 140, who managed to win a champion in 147. That's enough.

I don't remember anyone objected Toney to become WBC#1 for being CW champion and a win over OLD Holyfield only in HW.

 

He got the offer from Hatton and took it and the PPV buys for the fight prove how much people wanted to see it, meaning it wasn't worthless as you try to say it is. Did he get any offers from Arum about a Cotto fight?, did he get offers from anyone else worth fighting? :huh, if yes please prove it with facts and links proving it. Otherwise shut the **** up and realise that he IS the champion and is supposed to be called out by the others who are challengers compared to him as #1 in the division.

 

Yes I know all that. But Oirishman was claiming that Mayweather was vacating the WBC instead of facing Cotto. Which is clearly complete bollocks, and the point I replied to.

 

What is Floyd going to do? ... so he will still have the Ring Magazine Title, but will he fight for a strap in the future - I wonder?

 

I don't believe this to be true ... I think this is just a rumor and may not have any truth to it.

 

I'm pretty sure he will, the winner of Cotto/Margarito.

 

I don't think that Mayweather's going to vacate that title ... i'm sure that PBF will keep that strap ... I don't believe that the WBC will mandate or threaten Floyd to fight the winner of that fight ... i'm sure that if anything they would make the winner fight in another eliminator ... I just read that story and there was so much sketchy stuff in that it makes no sense. Floyd defended that belt against #1 ranked WBC Welterweight contender Ricky Hatton.

Berto isn't on the level of Floyd and will regret going after that Title ... he's the #1 contender but he's not deserving ... he should go after another title holder instead of trying to fight the best fighter in the sport. He's going to get his career derailed.

It hasn't even been a year since FLoyd's last defense ...

 

Can't find it anywhere either.

 

If anything they would just tag Berto with the interim champion status ... this isn't as easy as that ...

 

The WBC would let Floyd who's won their belts consecutively 5 times ... as many voluntary defenses as he wants. They would make Berto go through many hoops to get that title or that title shot.

I think this is an attempt to hype up Berto as a championship contender !!

I don't believe that Berto will get the strap ... if anything he gets the interim strap and doesn't fufill his chance to become full champion.

I can imagine Berto winning the vacant strap then calling out Floyd saying he was scared or something.
